Prom Formal Attire Requirements
Prom is a formal event, please note the below dress expectations for modesty and attire.
Gentleman
Tuxedos are encouraged but not required.
Suits, dress shirts & ties are appropriate.
Formal cowboy attire is permitted - black or dark jeans.
Please avoid washed denim and holes.
Ladies
Please choose formal dresses and dress pants outfits that meet the following modesty standards.
Dress length & slits must fall below fingertips. Test the length of your dress with the fingertip rule. (When putting your arms down at your sides the dress should fall BELOW your fingertips even when bending over or dancing.) If your dress does have a slit, test it the same way.
Midriffs must be covered. Please avoid crop tops, cut outs, and see through mesh.
An open back is ok to the natural waistline.
Neckline/Breast~ Avoid plunging necklines even though no cleavage is showing.
(This would be a top that has an opening that comes low between the breast - sometimes to the belly.) If choosing a strapless or sweetheart neckline we require that NO cleavage is showing.
Form fitting~ Please avoid body hugging "tube" dresses that cling to you. A well tailored outfit or formal that follows the shape that God made for you is acceptable.
We are happy to review an outfit for you.
